Outreach

Jesus told his disciples that they would be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth. Translated to our context, we believe that Jesus wants us to take the good news of his Kingdom and share it (in word and action) in Shoreline, in Seattle, throughout the Pacific Northwest, our country, and all over the world. We take very seriously Jesus’ call to be “salt and light,” bringing out both the flavor and color of God’s Kingdom wherever we go.

To that end, it is our “mission” to serve our world, locally and globally, in both witness and service. Locally, we want to be a welcoming, loving, accepting and supportive community; mirroring God’s own heart for all His people. We want to be a safe place for those possibly disillusioned by former church experiences. Globally and locally we want to make an impact on our world by remembering and ministering to those existing on the margins of society, including: the poor, the homeless, the broken, the lonely, victims of injustice and discrimination, widows and orphans.
