MISSION

SHORELINE FREE METHODIST CHURCH EXISTS TO FUNCTION AS AN AUTHENTIC,

BIBLICAL COMMUNITY OF SEEKERS AND DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS,

BEING TRANSFORMED INTO HIS LIKENESS.

LOOKING UP:

We look up to God in prayer and worship - individually and corporately.

We gather together, drawn into the presence of God. As a community we consistently

make space and time for personal and corporate prayer. We recognize and appreciate different worship and prayer “pathways” instead of having “one size fits all” expectations.

GROWING DOWN:

We reach down in introspection and with a listening heart in order to grow deeper into our relationship with God and become more like Jesus. Believing that spiritual formation is a lifelong process, we encourage spiritual practices (or disciplines) such as prayer, meditation, worship, fasting, Scripture reading and study, art, music and solitude. We have created a small but intentional prayer room in our building to help emphasize this.

REACHING IN:

We reach in toward one another in love and fellowship.

We care for one another, pray for each other and serve together as a unified group of Christ followers. We value the unique gifts and abilities that God has given each of us

and strive to work together in harmony.

GOING OUT:

We go out into the world to serve and love all people, unconditionally.

We want to embody and share the living message of Jesus who tells us to share his story with everyone, everywhere. We desire to reflect Christ-like compassion and concern for those around us.
